The pods series comes from explorations with hand knit silk covered in beeswax. There is an alchemy in combining these two insect secretions. The luminous golden color comes from the the process of heating the wax and silk and the reaction of the seracin, the glue that holds the cocoon together, still present in the yarn. The pods can vary in presentation, some hang singularly while others are grouped or strung together in a line. Round or elongated, their shape echo those found in nature.
